Por fim...

 Queridos leitores,

    Este texto serve para expressar nossa enorme gratidão a todos que tornaram esta incrível jornada possível, e principalmente nossos parceiros dos hotéis, guias locais, a equipe da Terra Brasil, os intercambistas e principalmente o Rotary, que formaram uma grande família durante estes dez dias de viagem! É um prazer poder trabalhar ao lado de jovens tão incríveis e poder fazer destes dias algo tão especial e memorável para todos.

    Gostáriamos de agradecer aos leitores pela paciência que todos tiveram durante este período, e pedir desculpas pois apesar do desejo de passar muitas fotos e textos  o fato de termos passado os ultimos dias em recantos ecológicos cheios de riquezas naturais, torna um pouco complicado utilizar a internet nestes pedaços de mundo ainda quase intocados pelo homem. O que de certo modo foi bom pois fez a experiência ser bem mais verdadeira para todos os jovens.

Obrigada pela maravilhosa experiência, a viagem não seria tão incrível sem todos vocês.

    This text serves to express our huge gratitude to everyone who made this incredible journey possible, and especially our partners in the hotels, local guides, the Terra Brasil team, the exchange students and especially the Rotary, which formed a large family during these ten days travel! It is a pleasure to work alongside such amazing young and able to do these days so special and memorable for everyone.

    We would like to thank the readers for their patience everyone had during this period, and apologize for despite the desire to spend a lot of pictures and texts the fact we had spent the last days in ecological nooks full of natural resources, makes it a bit tricky to use the internet in these pieces of world still almost untouched by man. What it was good in a way because it made the experience be more true for all young people.

Thank you for the wonderful experience, the trip would not be as amazing without all of you.

Monday

Today was a traveling day. We woke up early after a great party, and were all sad that the trip was coming to a close. This trip was absolutely amazing and everyone had a great time. For many students this has even been the best part of exchange.

Hoje passamos o dia viajando . Nós acordamos cedo depois de uma grande festa, e fomos todos tristes pois a viagem estava chegando ao fim . Esta viagem foi absolutamente incrível e todos tivemos grandes momentos. Para muitos estudantes esta foi mesmo a melhor parte do intercâmbio .

Rio da Prata

Sunday:

Today we went to Rio da Prata and we were snorkeling. Divided in three groups, we floated down the river for about two hours. The water was crystal clear, so we could see all of the fish one group even saw a 3 meter anaconda. Afterwards we had free time to practice for the talent show that would take place later that night. Once everyone was ready, we went to dinner in a reserved restaurant. Then we had a talent show that was incredibly funny, and all participants were fantastic. After the talent show, we danced for over two hours.  

Domingo

Hoje nós fomos para o Rio da Prata e praticamos  snorkeling . Divididos em três grupos , que flutuavam pelo rio por cerca de duas horas. A água cristalina , permitia que pudéssemos ver todos os peixes e um grupo ainda viu uma anaconda de 3 metros . Em seguida, tivemos tempo livre para praticar para o show de talentos que ocorreria mais tarde naquela noite . Depois que todo mundo estava pronto , fomos para o jantar em um restaurante reservado. Então nós tivemos um show de talentos que era incrivelmente engraçado, e todos os participantes foram fantásticos . Após o show de talentos , nós dançamos por mais de duas horas.

Saturday

Today we went to Estancia Mimosa, and we saw about seven waterfalls. We were separated in 3 groups again and each one had a guide who explained us everything so it was not dangerous. Everyone liked it today because it was hot and we could swim a lot. Some of us also jumped from a 7 meters high waterfall which was amazing. Then we ate at a restaurant and after this we had free time at the hotel to relax because everyone was very tired. At 7 o´clock we went to the city the last time to buy souvenirs and food. Now we are very tired and don´t want to write more.

Sábado 

Hoje fomos para a Estancia Mimosa, e visitamos cerca de sete cachoeiras. Nós  fomos separados em 3 grupos novamente e cada grupo tinha um guia para explicar tudo o que tornou o passeio extremamente seguro. Todos se divertiram pois o dia foi de calor e ótimo para nadar. Alguns de nós até pularam de uma cachoeira de  7 metros de altura, o que foi incrível. Depois nós jantamos em um restaurante e depois tivemos tempo livre no hotel que serviu para relaxarmos, todos estavam muito cansados. As 7 horas nós fomos para o centro da cidade pela ultima vez para comprar comida e souvenirs. Agora estamos muito cansados e não queremos mais escrever.

Guerra de água!!!

Sexta-feria

Hoje é nosso sétimo dia da viagem, a gente ainda está em Bonito, conhecemos a gruta da lagoa azul que é um ótimo lugar. E a refração da luz do dia que faz a maravilhosa cor azul da lagoa. Depois, fomos almoçar juntos no centro da cidade, que foi uma comida gostosa (mas menos gostosa que em pantanal haha).

A tarde, a gente foi para um passeio de bote no rio que foi muito engraçado, a gente fez uma guerra de água, nadou, cantou, gritou, e nos divertimos muito! Na sequência, fomos para jantar, de novo no  centro só que esta vez foi tempo livre, que foi muito legal para a gente!

Foi um outro dia maravilhoso para todos, obrigada Terra Brasil, e obrigada para os maravilhoso coordenadores Ronald,Laura e o Tio!

Friday

Today is the 7th day of our trip, we still are in Bonito, we knew the ¨Gruta da Lagoa Azul¨ it is a beautiful place. And the reflection of the daylight makes wonderful colors in the water. Then we went for lunch in the down town, it was a very delicious (but not as delicious as in Pantanal haha).

In the afternoon we went for a boat trip it was very funny, we made a water war, we swim, we sing, we scream, and we have a lot fun! After that we went for dinner in the down town, but this time by our own, with free time!

It was another awesome day thanks to Terra Brasil and tanks to our greatest coordinators; Ronald, Laura and Tio!

First day - Bonito

Thursday

Today, we wrapped up our activities in the Pantanal with the different groups adventuring on the safari, horseback riding, and piranha fishing. There was little rain as well, which made these activities more enjoyable. We then packed the rest of our belongings and loaded the carretas and set off to go back to our bus. Finally making it to the bus, tired and ready to sleep, we boarded and got ready for what the little city of Bonito had in store for us. Arriving in Bonito, we looked out our windows to see a park with these fish fountains. We then were allotted time to explore the city and eat in a restaurant. Some of us tried acai for the first time. It was great and the various shops were interesting. But actually the city appeared a little intended more for tourists than Brazilians like us ;-)

Quinta-feira

Hoje continuando nossas atividades no Pantanal com os diferentes grupos nos aventurando no safari, passeios a cavalo e pesca de piranhas. Houve pouca chuva, o que fez essas atividades mais agradáveis. Nós embalamos então o resto de nossos pertences e carregamos as carretas que partiram para voltar ao nosso ônibus. Finalmente chegamos ao ônibus, cansados e prontos para dormir, embarcamos para a pequena cidade de Bonito para conferir o que ela tinha reservado para nós. Chegando em Bonito, nós olhamos as nossas janelas para ver um parque com grandes fontes de peixe. Então, nós fomos explorar a cidade e comer em um restaurante. Alguns de nós provaram  açaí pela primeira vez . Foi ótimo e as várias lojas foram interessantes . Na verdade, a cidade parecia um pouco destinada mais para os turistas do que os brasileiros como nós ;-)

Into the wild!

Wednesday

After a night full of mosquitos, we had a very good breakfast with a wonderful view of the red parrot. When we finished it, our activities continued. One group went piranha fishing. On a small boat we went on the brown river Abobral where a lot of alligators and piranhas are living. With bamboo sticks with a piece of meat we were fishing this quite "big fishes" with the dangerous dents. Afterwards the group went swimming in this river. It is an unique experience, to swim in a river where live a lot of alligators, snakes and piranhas, but of course everything was very safe. The special thing was that we were eating the fishes for lunch. And for our surprise they were delicious. After taking a nap the third activity started. One group went for a boat trip. It was the same river where we fished piranhas. Unfortunately it was raining suddenly very strong. Everybody was totally wet. But it was funny and the often rain belongs to a trip in Pantanal. It is definitely a part of our trip and if it would not rain we would have missed something.

When every group was back in the farm, soon we were eating dinner. Today we ate Churrasco. The meat here is just amazing and we enjoyed it very much. In the evening we were hanging out altogether and danced and did massages for each other. It was an awesome day with a lot of special things and we think everybody had a lot of fun and did something they never did in their life before.

Quarta-feira

Depois de passar uma noite enfrentando muitos mosquitos, nós tomamos um maravilhoso café enquanto assistiamos uma bela arara vermelha; ao terminar, tiveram inicio as atividades dos grupos; nós fomos participar da pescaria de piranhas. Ela ocorreu no rio Abobral onde muitos jacarés e piranhas moram. Com varas de bambu e um pouco de carne ficamos pescando estes "peixes" de tamanho relativamente grande e dentes muito afiados. Depois da pescaria o grupo aproveitou para nadar. É uma experiência única nadar em um local onde a vida selvagem se faz presente na forma de jacarés, cobras e piranhas, mas é claro que foi tudo muito seguro. O mais legal foi poder comer no almoço os peixes que pescamos. E para nossa surpresa os peixes eram deliciosos. Depois de tirar um cochilo a nossa terceira atividade foi um passeio de barco, no mesmo rio que fomos pescar pela manhã. Infelizmente choveu muito forte e todos ficaram totalmente molhados. Mas foi muito divertido e a chuva constante faz parte das viagens ao Pantanal. Definitivamente é uma parte que teria feito falta se não acontecesse.

Quando todos os grupos retornaram, logo fomos jantar. Hoje comemos Churrasco. A carne por aqui é maravilhosa e foi muito prazeroso comer. Durante a noite nós todos nos divertimos juntos e aproveitamos para dançar e massagear uns aos outros. Foi incrível e muito especial, acreditamos que todos se divertiram muito.

Pantanal's life!

Tuesday
Enjoying life!

Today we woke up at 7:00am to have breakfast. After that we had our orientation meeting, where we knew about the rules of the trips and also talked about the groups and the activities of the day: horseback riding, safari and boat trip. We had spare time until 3:00pm; we played soccer, volleyball, enjoyed the pool and we used the games available at the hotel like billard, ping pong, cards and of course watched the wildlife. At lunch all together and it was delicious, after that, we got diveded into groups for the different activities. We, today´s bloggers, went horseback riding under the rain, and it was really relaxing and awesome! And the safari that was really interesting and cool, there we saw different types of animals like alligators, monkeys, capivaras and many others. We experienced the forest under the rain and also had a perfect bath.
These activities allow us to know the other exchange students and also the coordinators, who are the best!

Terça-feira

Aproveitando a vida!

 

Hoje a gente acordou as 7 horas para tomar o café da manhã. Depois, fomos para uma reunião para explicar as regras da viagem, e também, falar dos grupos e das três atividades do dia que foram: passeio a cavalo, safari e passeio de barco. Até as 15 horas, tivemos tempo livre para aproveitar o hotel, jogar futebol, vôlei, piscina, o salão de jogos e principalmente a vida selvagem local. No almoço comemos uma comida deliciosa, todos juntos. Depois a gente se dividiu para as atividades, nós escritores do blog participamos das seguintes : o passeio de cavalo, embaixo da chuva, que foi ótimo e muito relaxante,  e o safari foi muito interessante e muito legal; nós vimos diferentes tipos de animais como jacaré, macaco, capivara e muitos outros. Nós vivenciamos  a selva com chuva, e também, um perfeito banho e foi uma experiência legal. Essas atividades permitem conhecer cada vez mais os outros intercambistas e os coordenadores que são muito legais!

Arriving in Pantanal!

Second day

 

Hi followers!

Today we are greeting you from Pantanal, where we have arrived after a day-long journey through the beautiful nature of the Cerrado and Pantanal. We all enjoyed this awesome view, and were all stunned as soon as we entered Pantanal, where the landscape is very special.

As we again today had to get up early, most people were sleeping during the first hours of the trip. When people started to wake up, a big question started to appear among the group - our phones were showing different times, which was really confusing. Through our coordinator Ronald explained, that we were driving in an area that doesn´t use summer/winter-times.

On our way to Pantanal we were picking up the last two students, to complete the group of 30.

About an hour’s drive away from our hotel in Pantanal, we parked our bus and boarded trucks which drove us to the hotel.

Segundo dia

 

Olá leitores!
Hoje estamos escrevendo do Pantanal, onde chegamos após uma longa jornada passando pela bela natureza Brasileira e conhecendo ecossistemas como o Cerrado e o Pantanal; todos aproveitamos as maravilhosas paisagens e todos ficaram deslumbrados com a beleza do Pantanal e toda as peculiaridades de suas paisagens.
Como novamente tivemos que acordar cedo, a maioria das pessoas passou as primeiras horas de viagem dormindo. Quando as pessoas começaram a acordar, uma grande questão começou a surgir entre o grupo: nossos telefones começaram a mostrar horários diferentes, o que confundiu muitas pessoas. Então nosso coordenador Ronald explicou que estávamos entrando em um novo fuso horário.
Em nosso percurso até o Pantanal os últimos estudantes que faltavam se juntaram ao grupo e enfim ficamos com todos os 30 intercambistas.
O ônibus parou cerca de uma hora de distância do hotel e completamos o trajeto em caminhões que nos trouxeram ao destino final.

 

On the road to Pantanal!

1st day - On the road

Hi Followers,
This morning at 7:30am we set off towards Araçatuba/SP, where our trip towards Pantanal will start from. We were all tired, and most of us spent the first few hours sleeping in our bus. With a few hours of sleep, we were all rested and ready, so we put on a movie to consume time. Because we knew we would be traveling all day, everyone was more than willing to relax. In Araxá/MG, we picked up two new students, and we had a lunch there. After lunch we keep going straight to final destination. Once we arrived in Araçatuba/SP, we met the rest of the exchange group, and checked into the hotel. At 10:00pm we held a meeting to discuss the following day and immediately after went to sleep.

1º dia - Na estrada

Olá leitores,
Esta manhã as 7:30 nós partimos para a cidade de Araçatuba/SP, onde nossa viagem para o Pantanal teve início. Nós estávamos todos cansados, e a maioria de nós passou as primeiras horas da viagem dormindo. Com algumas horas de sono todos estavam bem descansados, então resolvemos assistir um filme para ajudar a passar o tempo, pois sabíamos que iriamos viajar por muito tempo; todos estavam dispostos a ter um momento de sossego. Em Araxá/MG, nós encontramos mais dois estudantes que se juntaram ao grupo e aproveitamos para almoçar por lá. Após o almoço continuamos a viagem para o nosso destino final. Assim que chegamos em Araçatuba/SP, conhecemos o resto dos intercambistas do grupo, e fizemos check in no hotel. As 10:00 da noite, nós tivemos uma reunião para acertar informações sobre o dia seguinte e imediatamente após fomos dormir.

Pantanal & Bonito 2015 has started!

PANTANAL & BONITO 2015 has started!

Exchange students have just boarded in Belo Horizonte/MG at IBIS Budget hotel! Everyone’s heading to Uberaba/MG and Araçatuba/SP today, where more students will join the trip! Tomorrow they leave Araçatuba/SP towards Campo Grande/MS and Pantanal region itself! 

Everyone is very excited and we wish all a nice trip!

Os intercambistas acabam de embarcar em Belo Horizonte/MG no hotel IBIS Budget! Todos seguem hoje para Uberaba/MG e Araçatuba/MG! Amanhã, saem de Araçatuba/SP com destino a Campo Grande/MS e a região do Pantanal! 

Todos estão muito animados e desejamos uma fantástica viagem!
